Member,Representing Albasu, Ajingi and Gaya federal constituency in the House of Representatives Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya has felicitated with people of his constituency and the country at large for witnessing another Democracy Day celebration.
According to him this year’s celebration marked 22 years since the country returned to civil rule which was the longest civilians administration lasted in the country.
Hon Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya made the disclosure in a press release issued to media house through his media office in Kano.
He added that within 6 years of his Representation of Ajingi/Albasu/Gaya constituency in the House of Representatives, the constituents has witnessed how he is upholding the fairness, equitable distribution of democracy dividends across the local government areas.
He further assured his constituents that in his remaining two years before 2023 general election he will enhance their well being with developmental projects and provision of more economic empowerments.
Gaya reiterated his commitment and vowed to show more commitments to the best of his ability.
“My current achievements in office are just a tips of the iceberg as I will continue to do my best” Gaya lamented
Hon Mahmud Gaya further said as we mark another Democracy Day in the history of our dear country, let us reflect the achievements recorded within last six years despite the country facing insecurity and economic challenges but with collectives responsibilities the nation will overcome all its challenges.
He also congratulates Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, House Leaders, Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and prayed for more Allah’s blessing, peaceful Kano and the country at large from insecurity bedeviling the federation and also called on people to be more vigilant and conscious of the security of their environment and report any suspicious movement to the security agencies.
Hon Mahmud Gaya urged Nigerians to pray fervently for an end to the senseless killings and kidnapping occurring in some states of the federation.
