As former Anambra State Governor and 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, marks his 64th birthday, a former senatorial candidate for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Dr. Anthony Ezekwugo, has paid glowing tribute to him, describing Obi as a beacon of hope and integrity in Nigeria’s political landscape.
Dr. Ezekwugo, who contested the 2023 general election, praised Obi’s transformational impact on Nigeria’s democratic space, commending his courage, vision, and unwavering advocacy for good governance.
“Your remarkable journey as an opposition candidate in Nigeria’s political landscape has been nothing short of inspiring. Your candidacy ignited a spark that rekindled hope and galvanized millions, particularly the youth, to engage actively in the democratic process,” he said.
He added that Obi’s political presence had “left an indelible mark, challenged the status quo, and reminded us all of the power of ideas in shaping our nation’s future.”
Despite their political differences, Dr. Ezekwugo said he holds Obi in high esteem and prayed for continued strength and many more years of impactful service to Nigeria.
