The Niger State Police Command has reiterated its readiness to provide adequate security during the Sallah celebration and beyond.
In view of the forthcoming EID-EL-FITR celebration, the Command has emplaced aggressive patrols, stop and search, and show of strength with other security agencies to ensure tight security arrangements before, during and after the festive season, in addition to sufficient deployment of Police personnel and operational assets to Eid-el praying grounds, recreation centres, parks and other public places across the twenty five (25) LGAs in the State.
Operation Order has been issued while Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and DPOs have been directed to ensure apparent visibility policing during the festive period through constant supervision of officers and men deployed for the season with regards to standard operating procedures and respect for human rights.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Monday Bala Kuryas has felicitated with Nigerlites and Muslim faithful in the State on the Eid-el-fitr Sallah celebration which is in fulfillment of one of the five pillars of Islam. He urged the followers to abide by its symbolism which connotes holiness, perseverance, tolerance and love.
He equally appreciated Nigerlites for their support and enjoined them to continue to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies by providing adequate information for a secured environment.
He then wished all Muslim Ummah in the State a joyous and hitch-free celebration.
