The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Ogundele J. Ayodeji has felicitated with Nigerlites and Muslim Faithfuls in the State on the occasion of Eid-el-fitr celebration, which is in fulfillment of one of the five pillars of Islam, he urged the followers to abide by its symbolism which connotes holiness, perseverance, tolerance and love.
Meanwhile, the Command has mobilised its operational assets and emplaced high visibility policing, stop and search operations with show of strength in collaboration with other security agencies to ensure a tight security arrangement before, during and after the festive season, in addition to sufficient deployment of Police personnel and anti-riot equipment to Eid-el praying grounds, recreation centers, amusement parks and other public places within the State.
Operation Order has been drawn to this effect and issued to HODs, Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and DPOs to ensure full compliance towards deployment for an apparent visibility policing during the festive period, and constant supervision of personnel deployed for the season with regards to Standard Operational Procedures and respect for human rights.
The CP equally appreciated Nigerlites for their support and enjoins them to continue in their cooperation with the Police and other security agencies by providing adequate information for a more secured and peaceful environment.
He then wished all Muslim Faithfuls in the State a joyous and hitch-free celebration.
