The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has felicitated with residents and visitors in the territory on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urged continued peace, vigilance, and lawful conduct during and after the celebration.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the Commissioner also disclosed that he personally led a security patrol of major mosques and public spaces across the FCT during Eid prayers to assess and reinforce existing security deployments.

The patrol, according to the Command, was part of proactive measures to ensure adequate protection at places of worship and recreational centres where large crowds are expected during the festive period.
CP Dantawaye emphasized the importance of maintaining calm and cooperating with security agencies, noting that the Command remains fully prepared to respond swiftly to any security challenges across the territory.
The FCT Police Command reiterated its commitment to safeguarding lives and property before, during, and after the Eid celebrations.
