The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin has felicitated with the faithfuls on Eid-ul-fitr celebration, and prayed for Allah’s manifold and continuous mercies upon the Islamic believers in Oyo State, Nigeria and across the globe.
This was just as the Speaker prayed Allah to use the just concluded month of blessings to answer the prayers of the citizens on the countless and unendurable degree of sufferings being experienced by Nigerians.
In his Eid-ul-fitr congratulatory message, Hon Ogundoyin stated that it was gratifying that a month long fasting had been completed, and that the whole world is enmeshed in the abundant blessings and mercies of Allah.
” Eid Mubarak to our teeming Islamic faithful. May every moment of the Eid-ul-fitr celebration brings us all closer to Allah, and gets us more good rewards for fasting and for engaging in other righteous deeds in the blessed month of Ramadan “Ogundoyin stated.
He then urged all the Muslims to internalize the lessons learnt during the month of Ramadan for the betterment of the Society and Nigeria at large.
The Speaker said that the 2021 Ramadan provided immense opportunity for Muslims across the world to supplicate to Allah for an end to the many problems bedeviling the globe.
He expressed happiness that Nigerian Muslims had no doubt used the Month of Blessing to pray for Allah’s intervention on the socio-economic crises rocking the nation.
” The situation in the country is unbearable. Nowhere is safe. The Media is daily awash with stories of killings, kidnappings and banditry attacks all over the country. We pray to Allah to use our devotional acts, arms giving and dedication during the just concluded Holy month of Ramadan to answer our prayers and restore peace to the nation . Our special prayers to Ibarapaland where the situation is also disturbing. I urge Islamic faithful to always remember our people in their prayers, while I pray to Allah to continue to expose the enemies of progress and evil doers living in our midst. This is the time for the people of all creeds and tribes in the Country to raise their voices in prayers to Allah for the return of peace and security to our nation. ” Hon Ogundoyin added.
