The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Aminu Chinade has charged the graduating students of Exercise Shining Star 2022 held at the 2 Division Training School Ibadan, to put the knowledge acquired during the course into effective use in their respective units, formation and the Nigerian Army large.
Major General Chinade while commending the impressive practical ability displayed by the student, enjoined them to remain focused, dedicated and disciplined to prove the knowledge gained at the institution.
The GOC represented by the Division Training Officer Brigadier General Oluwole Davies, urged the graduands to keep up the standard already attained and count themselves lucky to have undergone the training. He said the Division will continue to count on their dedication and relentless effort in achieving the Chief of Army Staff Vision, the Training Objectives of the Division and the total eradication of the myriad of security challenges facing the country.
Earlier in his welcome address, the 2 Division Training Officer, Brigadier General Oluwole Davies pointed out that Exercise Shining Star 2022 is designed to develop troops individually and as a team to be physically robust, mentally alert, build endurance to withstand extreme weather conditions, endure hunger, fatigue and lack of sleep amongst others.
He asserted that the entire objectives of the exercise was achieved within the duration of the course with series of intensive firing and physical fitness activities.
The exercise was climaxed with the demonstration of counter ambush drill and firing of falling plates by the graduands at the Major General Azinta Shooting Range.
