The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has carried out an extensive operational assessment of the Karshi, Kurudu, Karu Bakin Uza and Karufe Hill mountain corridors as part of intensified efforts to block criminal routes and strengthen security along the FCT–Nasarawa border.
The operation, conducted on December 31, 2025, targeted areas previously identified as escape routes and hibernation points for armed criminal elements exploiting the rugged terrain linking the FCT with Nasarawa State.
During the visit to Karu, the police boss paid a courtesy visit to the palace of His Royal Highness, Joseph Danfulani Narai (JP), the Sa Karuyi of Karu, FCT, where he underscored the importance of sustained collaboration between traditional rulers, community leaders and security agencies. He urged residents to support ongoing operations by providing timely and credible intelligence.
CP Dantawaye thereafter inspected operational deployments across the mountainous terrains of Karshi, Kurudu, Karu, Bakin Uza and Karufe Hill, assessing personnel strength and operational readiness aimed at tightening security control and preventing criminal infiltration.
While addressing officers deployed to the area, the Commissioner commended their resilience and professionalism, charging them to remain vigilant and assuring them of the Command’s continued support for effective service delivery.
The patrol formed part of the FCT Police Command’s broader strategy to dominate difficult terrains and neutralize security threats within and around the nation’s capital.
