In a proactive move to enhance border security and ensure safe travel during the festive season, the Commissioners of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Kaduna State, CP Miller G. Dantawaye and CP Mohammed Rabiu, conducted a coordinated patrol along the strategic Jere–Abuja Highway on Monday.
The Jere Community, located on the FCT–Kaduna border, is a vital transit point for commuters and a focal area for anti-crime operations. The joint patrol highlighted the commitment of both police commands to strengthening cross-border security and curbing criminal activities that may threaten residents and travelers during the high-traffic holiday period.
According to SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer for the FCT Command, the operation also aimed to reassure residents and commuters of the police’s dedication to maintaining safety on the highway. She urged the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with security personnel, and report suspicious activities via the command’s emergency lines: 08032003913 and 08061581938.
The exercise reflected a continued partnership between the FCT and Kaduna State Police Commands, emphasizing intelligence-led, high-visibility policing as the festive season approaches.
