FCT Police Commissioner leads festive security patrols across Abuja mosques, recreational centres

The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, today personally led security patrols across mosques and recreational centres in the Abuja Metropolitan Area, reinforcing the Command’s commitment to public safety during the festive season.

The patrol, described as a confidence-building exercise, allowed the Commissioner to assess security arrangements at key public locations and ensure that robust measures are in place to protect residents and visitors. It complements the Command’s ongoing operations, including intelligence-led initiatives, visible patrols, and close collaboration with other security agencies.

CP Dantawaye emphasized that the proactive patrols are part of a broader strategy to deter criminal activity and ensure a peaceful environment throughout the festive period. He also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities through the FCT Police emergency numbers.

SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer for the FCT Police Command,in a release reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property across the Federal Capital Territory.
