FCT Police redeploys Gwarimpa DPO over misconduct allegations, appoints CSP Gusau as replacement

The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has ordered the immediate redeployment of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Gwarimpa Division, SP Babale Galadima, to the Command Headquarters to face administrative disciplinary proceedings over alleged professional misconduct.

 

The Command, in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the redeployment followed complaints from members of the public concerning the officer’s conduct.

 

CP Dantawaye reiterated his earlier directive to all Divisional Police Officers and their subordinates to maintain professionalism, courtesy, and respect for the rule of law while discharging their duties. He emphasized that acts of unprofessionalism, misconduct, or abuse of office will not be tolerated and would attract appropriate disciplinary action.

 

In the same development, the Commissioner of Police has approved the appointment of CSP Nasir Gusau as the new DPO for Gwarimpa Division with immediate effect. He charged the new DPO to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, ensure respect for human rights, and maintain civility in all engagements with the public.

 

CP Dantawaye also appealed to residents of Gwarimpa and its environs to cooperate with the new DPO and continue supporting the Police in their collective efforts to maintain peace, law, and public safety in the area.
