The Federal Government has expressed readiness to collaborate with the Nigerian Diaspora community in addressing pressing humanitarian challenges across the country and beyond.
This assurance was given by the Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, during an official meeting with a delegation from the Diaspora community led by Sir Chibuzo Ubochi.
The meeting focused on exploring strategic partnerships aimed at supporting underprivileged Nigerians, especially the underfed, while also reinforcing the welfare of Nigerians living in the Diaspora.
Prof. Yilwatda commended the Diaspora community for their immense contributions to national development and global advocacy, noting that their efforts continue to uplift Nigeria’s image internationally.
“Through cultural diplomacy, you have made us feel proud as you take our image across the world,” the Minister said.
Also present at the meeting were the Honourable Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, as well as humanitarian stakeholders including Mr. Jake Epelle and Ajayi Temitope.
The engagement underscored the Ministry’s commitment to inclusive and collaborative efforts aimed at alleviating poverty and advancing humanitarian responses across all fronts.
