The Federal Housing Authority FHA had launched 7,000 units housing units estate to mark the 50th anniversary of it’s establishment in accordance with the policy statement of the federal government to providing affordable housing..
The Golden Jubilee, Mbora Estate state is in partnerships with Nuga Best International and Regis International Services Partnership for an initial construction of 1,200 housing units in Lugbe Phase 11 .
The Chairman,FHA,Senator Gbenga Ashafa said the ground breaking ceremony on Thursday marked the new phase after five decades of it’s existence and dedicated service.
He lauded the efforts of the previous management that was marked with notable milestones and achievements, stated that the FHA is a high performing agency.
He stressed that the ground breaking ceremony was part of the policy statement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to provide housing for all , as well mark the 100 days in office of the present administration
While commending the FHA over series of achievements, he recalled the 748 Zuba Housing Estate, Bwari and also the development of Smart City/ Diaspora Estate in Maitama , Abuja.
Senator Ashafa restated his commitment to provide the core mandate of the agency, so as to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
He expressed confidence in the capacity and capabilities of the partners having been tested and trusted from the track records of achievements to construct an initial 1,200 units of estate.
The Managing Director maintained that the authority’s mandate to providing housing for all Nigerians and leveraging on the potential of the construction industry to stimulate employment opportunities, and foster economic diversification.
He said the 200 hectares of land will provide standard infrastructure that characterised it’s development strategy, with access roads and other security arrangements in place.
Highlights of the program included the ground breaking ceremony by the Managing Director, Chief Executive officer, Federal Housing Authority FHA , Senator Gbenga Ashafa.
