Fire on Sunday gutted Mundubawa country home of former Governor of Kano State, Mallam Ibrahim
The fire outbreak reportedly damaged the living rooms of his third wife, Halima Shekarau.
Eyewitnesses said the outbreak has remained uncontrollable as men of the Fire Service battle an acute shortage of water, the Fire Service had to seek support from private companies with their firefighting vehicles and equipment but could only do little or nothing as there was no water to subdue the inferno.
Sources said that the Fire Service like every other agency in Kano State have suffered massive neglect from the state government.
Meanwhile,Dr. Sule Ya’u Sule, the spokesman of the NNPP chieftain, confirmed the incident .
He said, “We thank God the fire only affected one of Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau’s living rooms and already men of the State Fire Service had successfully put off the fire.”
