The former National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hajia Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

In a condolence message issued on Monday, Hajia Baiwa described the late President as a principled leader known for his unwavering commitment to justice, discipline, and honesty.

She recalled President Buhari’s legacy of simplicity and courage, noting that he remained resolute in serving the Nigerian people through challenging times. According to her, his contributions to Nigeria, both as a military head of state and as a democratically elected President, will be remembered for generations.

“He worked for important changes, fought corruption, gave his best to move the country forward, and kept it united,” she said.

Hajia Baiwa further noted that the late President lived a life of sacrifice and love for the nation, leaving behind a legacy that shaped Nigeria’s development and governance.

While offering prayers for his peaceful repose, she asked Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanatul Firdaus. She also prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family during this period of national mourning.
