The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved the posting and redeployment of senior officers across key commands and formations nationwide, in a move aimed at strengthening operational effectiveness and enhancing leadership oversight.
The redeployment, which take immediate effect, is part of ongoing efforts by the FRSC Management to align leadership placement with the strategic priorities of the Corps, particularly in response to evolving road safety, operational and administrative demands.
Under the new arrangement, Deputy Corps Marshal Pauline Olaye has been redeployed from the Special Duties and External Relations Department (SDER) to the Department of Administration and Human Resources at the National Headquarters. Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Godwin Omiko, previously the Corps Project Implementation Officer, has been appointed ACM SDER at the Headquarters.
Similarly, ACM A. Sanusi, fdc, formerly in charge of Manpower Development (Training), has been posted as the Zonal Commanding Officer of RS1HQ Kaduna, while ACM M.O. Olonisaye, erstwhile Corps Safety Engineering Officer, now heads the RS2HQ Lagos Zonal Command. ACM A. Umar, who was the Zonal Commanding Officer RS1HQ, Kaduna, will proceed on a course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).
In another development, ACM J.W. Toby and ACM E. Odiete have exchanged commands between RS5HQ Benin and RS11HQ Osogbo. ACM Y.A. Haruna has taken over as ACM Federal Operations, while ACM A.K. Odeleye-Oladayo has been redeployed to RS8HQ Ilorin as Zonal Commanding Officer to strengthen administrative and operational coordination.
At the National Headquarters, ACM C.M. Onukwubiri has been redeployed from RS8HQ Ilorin to assume duty as Corps Safety Engineering Officer. At the Corps Commander level, CC F.A. Ogidan has been appointed Corps Commander in charge of Command Administration and Strategy.
Meanwhile, AS Ibrahim and CC A.S. Ogungbemi have been posted as Sector Commanders in Adamawa and Plateau States respectively. CC S.E. Dawulung has been appointed Acting Corps Project Implementation Officer, while CC D.A. Bello now heads the Special Marshals Department at the National Headquarters, Abuja.
The Corps Marshal has directed all affected officers to ensure seamless handing and taking over and to assume duty immediately, expressing confidence that the strategic redeployment will further enhance command efficiency, service delivery and institutional responsiveness across the country.
