The Chief Executive Officer of Galaxy Backbone, Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, has praised the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for its contributions to national unity, integration, and socio-economic development.
Adeyanju made the remarks during a courtesy visit to the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, noting that the Scheme’s policy of deploying Corps Members outside their States of Origin had added significant value despite challenges.
Highlighting Galaxy Backbone’s role as a digital infrastructure platform of the Federal Government, which provides secure internet services to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), Adeyanju expressed interest in collaborating with the NYSC. “We are open to partnership, and we will ensure that NYSC State Secretariats are operating with enhanced digital infrastructure,” he said, assured that data would be protected in accordance with Nigerian laws.
In response, the Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, commended Galaxy Backbone’s initiatives and reaffirmed the Scheme’s readiness to partner with agencies that would strengthen its operations. He further assured that the Management would consider the proposed partnership.
The engagement signaled potential collaboration between NYSC and Galaxy Backbone in leveraging digital technology to enhance the efficiency of the national service scheme.
