Gov Okpebholo delivers 13th month salary to workers as Christmas Bonus

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has made good on his promise to civil and public servants in the state by paying their 13th-month salary ahead of the festive season. The payment, made on December 29, 2024, is part of the Governor’s commitment to prioritize the welfare of the workforce in Edo State.

Governor Okpebholo, who was sworn in on November 12, 2024, had earlier fulfilled his pledge to ensure timely salary payments, paying the November salaries on November 27 despite opposition claims that workers would face delays. The governor’s swift actions have reinforced his reputation as a leader focused on governance and workers’ welfare.

Anthony Okungbowa, the Edo State Head of Service, expressed gratitude to the governor for his leadership and foresight in making the payment, noting that it was a motivational boost for the workforce to continue contributing to the state’s growth and development.
