Gov Okpebholo pledges support for Foreign Investors during visit to Rongtai Industry Park

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has assured foreign investors of his administration’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.

 

The Governor made this pledge on Monday during a working visit to Rongtai Industry Park, located in Utesi Community, Benin City, Edo State.

 

Accompanied by the Managing Director of the company, Huang Shibin, Governor Okpebholo toured the facility, expressing satisfaction with the company’s operations and its impact on the local economy.

 

Speaking during the visit, Governor Okpebholo said, “We have toured this facility and seen the tremendous contributions Rongtai Industry Park has made to our economy. Providing employment opportunities for our people is a priority for my administration. We will continue to collaborate with you, partner with you, and create an enabling environment for your growth.”

 

The Governor also appealed to the company to integrate Nigerians into its management team to enhance collaboration and ensure better welfare for local workers. He emphasized that such partnerships would strengthen relationships between the company and its host community while protecting workers’ rights.

 

“We appreciate your efforts here and will support your progress. However, I urge you to bring some of our people into your management team to foster a harmonious working relationship and greater loyalty from your employees,” he added.

 

In his remarks, Huang Shibin, Managing Director of Rongtai Industry Park, expressed gratitude to the Governor for the visit and called for more government support. He noted that the company employed over 10,000 workers and is prepared to expand its operations with the right backing.
