Gov Okpebholo’s Leadership ensures a Safe and Peaceful Christmas in Edo State

Edo State residents enjoyed a peaceful and secure Christmas this year, thanks to the proactive measures taken by Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo’s administration. By working closely with security agencies, the government implemented effective strategies to curb criminal activities, ensuring a safe environment during the festive season.

Since his inauguration on November 12, 2024, Governor Okpebholo has prioritized security as a key part of his administration’s agenda. He promised to tackle the state’s security challenges, including kidnapping and violent crimes, and has taken decisive steps to fulfill this commitment.

One of the administration’s major achievements is the procurement of 20 patrol vehicles to support security personnel, with plans for further investments in 2025. The governor also lifted the ban on the Edo State Vigilante to strengthen community-level security efforts.

Residents across the state have expressed gratitude for the improved safety. Kelly Osas, Mabel Okungbowa, Chukwuemeka Eze, and Stanley Obadigie commended the administration’s efforts, noting the peaceful atmosphere during the yuletide.

“We are enjoying a peaceful Christmas, and it’s thanks to the government’s swift actions to secure the state,” said Chukwuemeka Eze.

Governor Okpebholo called on residents, investors, and stakeholders to continue working with the government and security agencies to sustain peace and security throughout the new year. Edo State is now setting an example of how effective leadership can foster safety and development for all.
