The Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has approved the immediate appointment of Mary Noel Berje as the new Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State.
A statement issued by Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG) also disclosed that the Governor has approved the re-appointments of Abdullahi Baba Arah, Ibrahim Ahmed Inga and Abdulberqy Usman Ebbo as Directors General Niger State Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA) and SOU, ICT and Public Enlightenment respectively.
The statement further stated that the appointment of Mary Noel Berje and re-appointment of Abdullahi Baba Arah, Ibrahim Ahmed Inga and Abdulberqy Usman Ebbo was based on merit, proven integrity and outstanding record of performance in their previous assignments.
The Secretary to the State Government stressed that the Directors General are expected to bring their knowledge, skills and wealth of experience to bear in the performance of their new assignments by working assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in them.
He reminded them of the policy direction of the present administration which was to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Niger State and therefore urged them to work diligently towards achieving this noble objective.
The Governor therefore congratulated them on the appointments and wished them success and Allah’s guidance in the performance of the arduous duties of their Offices, the statement stressed.
The new Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Mary Noel Berje was until her appointment a staff of Nigeria Television Authority, Minna.
