Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello has described the demise of Kano foremost businessman and Islamic scholar, Sheikh Khalifa Ishaku Rabiu as a colossal loss to the country’s religious and business sectors.
Governor Sani-Bello in a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mal. Jibrin Baba Ndace described Late Ishaku Rabiu as a multi-blessed business mogul who contributed to the country’s economy.
He described the elder statesman as a great Islamic scholar and a leader “whose footprints will remain in our memory forever.”
A phlantropist per excellence, Gov.Sani-Bello described the late scholar as a man willing to give and share un-sparingly in order to uplift the people and contribute his own quota to the development of the society.
According to the governor, “The death of Sheikh Ishasku Rabiu is a great loss and a tragedy to the religious and business sector of the country. The people and government of Niger State expressed sympathy and condolences to the people of Kano state and the country at large.
“Indeed, we are sad by demise of this elder statesman, a peace maker and business tycoon who has contributed immensely to the nation’s socio-economic development. ”
Governor Abubakar Sani -Bello then prayed Allah to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest, make Aljanna Firdausi his final abode and grant his family as well as the government, Kano Emirate Council and people of Kano state the heart to bear the irreparable loss.
Governor Sani-Bello was in Kano for the Janaiza prayers at Khalifa Ishaku Rabiu Mosque.
