Niger state Governor,Abubakar Sani Bello has described the death of Col. Aminu Isah Kontagora (rtd) as a great loss to the country.
Governor Sani Bello’s condolence message was made available to journalists by his Chief Press Secretary(CPS) Mary Noel-Berje.
Governor Sani Bello said that the death of the former sole administrator of Benue and Kano States came at the time when the country requires his services especially the current insecurity that has bedeviled it.
The Governor commiserated with the Sarkin Sudan Kontagora and the entire Kontagora Emirate, his family and associates over the death of their illustrious son and colleague.
He added that the state government and Kontagora Emirate will miss his wise counsel.
He then appealed to the family to accept his death as an act of Allah, and take solace in the good and exemplary life that he lived, which is worthy of emulation.
According to him, the late Isah Kontagora lived a dedicated and selfless life in service to humanity both in active military service and after retirement.
He prayed to Allah to forgive him his shortcomings on earth and reward him with Aljannat Firdaus.
Col Isah Kontagora died on Sunday after a brief illness.
