Niger State Governor,Abubakar Sani Bello has expressed sadness over the death of former Senator and Retired Deputy Inspector General (DIG)of Police, Nuhu Aliyu.
In a condolence message, the Governor described the deceased as an accomplished elder statesman who dedicated most part of his life to service to humanity.
The Governor described the death of late DIG Aliyu as a great loss not only to the State but the country at large
According to him, “it is sad to hear the news of the death of a great man who was committed to service to the nation in different capacity and was a father to many. We however can not question the acts of Allah”.
The Governor prayed Allah to forgive all the shortcomings of the deceased, and grant him Aljannat Firdausi.
He also prayed that Allah grant all the family members, close associates and the people of Niger zone C Senatorial District the fortitude to bear the great loss.
Late DIG Aliyu born in 1941, was a former Senator who represented Zone C from 2003 to 2011.
He died in Kaduna and will be buried in accordance to Islamic injunctions.
