In the last four years of Professor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno state , no doubt the proliferation of all round development and human capital breakthroughs had gone beyond human imaginations.
These achievements justified the argument of the political class and opinion moulders along with stakeholders stance in the state that his choice will provide alot of development to the ancient kingdom, desiring more leadership innovations.
it also gave credence to the choice of his predecessor whose insistence to succeed him in 2019 after his constitutional terms in office was a great foresight, for the benefits of the people of the state.
The success recorded by the Borno state Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum was under a consistent tense atmosphere of an emergency situations with the unabated activities of insurgency from Boko Haram to ISWAP , kidnappings and banditry that had operated without remorse and endangered the lives of the people amidst his determination and defiance to achieve results and impact on his people.
Undaunted by the natural and artificial occurrences, Zulum had performed creditably well in the areas of human capital development as victims of the insurgency aside the temporary accomodation were resettled through the erection of permanent houses and a well thought out reclamation, reconstruction and rehabilitation process of the present administration.
Aside shelter and accomodation, he provided gainful engagements through empowerment, skill development, capacity building and enterpreneurial innovations for the people of Borno state.
He engaged in construction of Hospitals, specialised schools, and renovated most of the existing Hospitals and Schools in Borno state, along with building of roads , provision of portable water and strategic rural electrification program.
Governor Zulum repositioned the civil service with regular employment, promotion, elevation and reabsorption of staffs including regular payments of outstanding salaries, pensions and gratuities of civil servants who are in service or served the state with the best of their abilities while in service.
His policy of rebuilding, reconstruction and rehabilitation of Health and Educational institutions in the state to conform with the provision of SDGs covered the Primary, Secondary, Tertiary institutions to address the pace of underdevelopment in the sectors.
These positive development addressed the Infrastructural decay prevalent in both the Health and Education sector that improved the social services and security of lives of the people and attained government responsibility.
The Governor readdressed the critical situations of specialized Education and Health emergency desiring special attention, with donation of equipment to the University of Maiduguri owned by the federal government along with state Health institutions.
The extraordinary performance of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum in the area of infrastructure both at home and outside the shores of the state was evidenced in the reconstruction of major bridges and flyovers, the state liason offices in Abuja which included the office accomodation in Maitama and residence in Asokoro, that had portrayed the image of the state both at home and before the international communities on good stead.
His performance in the area of empowerment, capacity building, charity and humanitarian activities had attracted both local and international bodies into investing in the war ravaged people with confidence of routing most of it’s activities directly through the state government.
The multi billion Borno House that was the shadow of itself for many years located in Abuja, was strategically renovated and ready for occupation by commercial and corporate organizations.
The revenue yielding edifice added to the robust revenue generation and improvement witnessed in the last four years had placed Borno state ahead of other states in the North East region of the country.
With the giant achievements and strides of the present administration under the current administration of Professor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno, no doubt his re-election will be a veritable tools for more political advancement, uneven development and more infrastructural breakthroughs.
The support needed now is to rally round the Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum towards extricating the ancient state of Borno state from the gradual political limelight geared towards emancipation of the people.
