The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has congratulated twenty-six thousand, one hundred and twenty-two (26,122) officers of the Nigeria Police Force recently promoted to various ranks, described the advancement as well-deserved and a reflection of their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to national service.
In a statement signed through Ag. ACP Benjamin Hundeyin, Force Public Relations Officer, IGP Egbetokun emphasized that the promotions recognized merit and performance, while also placing greater responsibility on the officers to uphold high standards of leadership, discipline, and service in the discharge of their duties.
The IGP also expressed deep appreciation to the Police Service Commission (PSC) for approving all the Force’s recommendations, commended the Commission for its commitment to due process, merit-based progression, and institutional cooperation. He noted that the continued synergy between the PSC and the Force is vital to boosting morale, enhancing competence, and improving operational effectiveness across the policing system.
Reiterating the Force’s commitment to ongoing reforms, IGP Egbetokun assured Nigerians and the global community that the Nigeria Police Force will continue to improve internal efficiency, deepen public trust, and strengthen collaboration with national and international partners in addressing evolving security challenges. He underscored the Force’s dedication to professionalism, respect for the rule of law, and the protection of lives and property.
