The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, today received Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, reinforcing strategic collaboration for regional security.
Governor Kefas, accompanied by Senators Shuaibu Lau, David Jimkuta, Haruna Manu, members of the House of Representatives, and state commissioners, commended the Police Force’s efforts in restoring peace in Karim Lamido, a newly designated “Special Area of Security Concern.” He pledged continued logistical support to ensure police personnel are adequately equipped for effective operations. CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Force Public Relations Officer, highlighted that the visit further strengthens the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to collaborative security efforts across the states.
IGP Egbetokun described the visit as a crucial step in deepening community-oriented policing. He assured that the Force would prioritize Taraba State, deploying resources and leveraging intelligence to safeguard lives and property, with particular focus on stabilizing Karim Lamido.
The engagement underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s dedication to working with state governments in promoting public safety and restoring citizens’ confidence in national security.
