The National Chairman of Jammatul Izalatu Bidia Waikamatul Sunnah JIBWIS , Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir on Monday gave kudos to Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello for not abandoning some people oriented projects and programmes inherited from past administrations in the state.
The clergyman attributed the giant strides so far recorded by Gov. Sani-Bello to his resolve to jettison the old practice by ensuring the completion of some grassroot beneficial projects that were embarked upon but abandoned by past administration.
Sheikh Yahaya gave the commendation shortly after he met with Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello in his office in Minna, the state capital.
The religious leader noted that Gov. Sani-Bello has deviated from the practice of some leaders who deliberately abandon projects inherited from their predecessors to start their own even when huge resources may have been committed to such projects.
The clergyman said that aside from the completion of projects started by the past administrations, the impactful projects, programmes and policies of the administration prompted the group to offer strong backing to it.
“We follow up on the activities of this government and I am convinced on its activities so far especially as it pertains to continuation of projects embarked upon by previous administrations. ”
“We give strong backing to this administration as it has given priority to education, schools have been constructed and renovated by this administration and this has enf!orced the groups campaign for education and seeking for knowledge”.Sheikh Yahaya said.
The religious leader then called on parents who send their children away from home in the name of knowledge acquisition with no means of sustaining them out there to desist from such as it exposes the children to kidnapping, rape “and in most cases these children end up as a menace to the society when they are left without proper parenting”
He also called on Nigerians to shun their differences and embrace togetherness and peaceful coexistence so that the country will move forward for the betterment of all.
