A member of Wushishi Old Students Association (WOSA), Engr. Dr. Sadeeq Abubakar Mohammed of the Department of Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering of the Federal University of Technology, Minna has been awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Midterm Commendation Award for contribution to intellectual property by the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Professor Abdullahi Bala.
This was however coming barely two weeks after the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), Wushishi Old Students Association, former Secretary to the Government of Niger State, and a don with the Premier University, the University of Ibadan, Prof. Muhammed Kuta Yahaya was recognized as the Guest Speaker at the 28th Combined Convocation Ceremony of Niger State College of Education, Minna with the topic “COVID-19 Pandemic and Nigeria Education System what lesson?”.
In his congratulatory message, the Interim Chairman of WOSA and former Statistician-General of Niger State, Alhaji Usman Liman disclosed that the award has brought pride to WOSA and demonstrates the capacity of WOSA members to hold higher responsibilities and discharge them diligently.
The Chairman explained that WOSA regarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Midterm Commendation Award for contribution to intellectual property to one of its members as well deserved and a mark of recognition for Engr. Dr. Sadeeq Mohammed’s doggedness and steadfastness.
Alhaji Liman who extolled the virtues of the Awardee described him as a man of character and integrity that would not compromise standards even as he urged him to keep doing the right thing always, which he said, “will make him excel in his chosen profession”.
He further assured that WOSA would continue to harness the ingenuity of Engr. Dr. Sadeeq Mohammed and other members of WOSA for the benefit of humanity.
