The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has praised staff of the Ministry for their dedication, resilience, and professionalism, described them as the driving force behind the Ministry’s achievements over the past two and a half years.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo gave the commendation at the Ministry of Interior Town Hall Meeting, Reward and Recognition Award Ceremony held in Abuja as part of activities under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP) 2025.
He expressed deep appreciation to staff for their unwavering support, collaboration, and sacrifices, noted that the gathering was primarily to celebrate collective effort rather than make lengthy speeches. According to the Minister, the peace, unity, and commitment that define the Ministry are products of teamwork, stressed that all awards and recognitions belong to the entire workforce, not just those in leadership positions.
The Minister acknowledged that significant milestones were recorded in 2025 but emphasized that progress must be sustained. Reiterating his reform philosophy, he said there are “no full stops, only commas,” underscoring the Ministry’s resolve to maintain momentum in service delivery and institutional reforms in line with FCSSIP objectives.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his consistent support, describing it as crucial to the successes recorded so far. He noted that the President’s innovation-driven and reform-oriented leadership has created an enabling environment for the Ministry to implement impactful initiatives.
The event featured a Reward and Recognition Award Ceremony aimed at motivating staff and strengthening a culture of excellence, accountability, and performance across the Ministry.
The Minister concluded by wishing staff a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, urging them to remain steadfast, innovative, and committed as the Ministry continues to advance its mandate in the coming year.
