The Ansar-ud-deen youth association of Nigeria(ADYAN)Northern state council, has identified with world youths on the occasion of International Youth Day 2021.ADYAN called International Youth day,a global affirmation of the role of youth in the world.
The Chairman, Ansar-ud-deen Youth Association of Nigeria,Northern Council,Alh.Abduljalil Apapnpa ,while delivering his speech with theme “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health” described youthful age as a stage which youth mostly take their path in the world. He then called for appropriate recognition of youth in all sphere of life.
The statement reads:
The theme of International Youth Day 2021 is, “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”, with the aim of highlighting that the success of such a global effort will not be achieved without the meaningful participation of young people.
The theme is also instructive in Nigeria as the cost of food in Nigeria is going beyond what citizens can afford, we want to urge Government at all levels to swing to action to prevent famine in Nigeria, this can be occasioned in Nigeria if the spate of banditry, kidnapping and all security challenges are not tame.
This will also engender the global sustainable development Goals SDG 1 and 2 such as, No poverty and Zero Hunger, there must be deliberate action to end hunger by 2030 as projected
YOUTH INCLUSION
Government of Nigeria could also copy from Ansar-ud-deen, the system of youth inclusion and how it brings development to the society, there is urgent need for Government at all levels to include youth in process of governance and also give youth opportunity to learn how governance work, the social-economic sphere needs contemporary youth to come in and apply a technology driven idea.
I also want to encourage youth that engage in juvenile delinquency, kidnapping, banditry to sheath their sword and allow Nigeria citizen to join the developed world, their action is retrogressing Nigeria to the stone Age
ADYAN Northern state council youth day in JOS focuses on different youth activities such as Prayers for the nation, Quranic and quiz competition, football matches and Muslimat conference for Ansar-ud-deen ladies etc.
Finally, I want to urge Nigeria youth to shun the attitude of get rich by all means syndrome, it only lead to journey of no return and could cut their life short.
The Nigeria government at all level should provide employment opportunity for teaming Nigeria youth, indeed an idle hand is devil workshop.
Long live Ansar-ud-deen!! Long live Nigeria
