This book consists of all the partitions of the study of life. The book is titled; “Kpeyizhe Nupe” meaning “Nupe Biology.” The word Biology is tri-syllabic. The first syllable “Bio” which is “Kpe” refers to study. The “Logy” at the tail is “Yizhe” which means “the life of a living thing”.
The book was written by some four Nupe writers; Zainab Abdullahi Bida, Zakari Isah Fujeregi, Aisha Hussaina Idris Manarakis and Prof. (Hon) Adamu Idris Manarakis.
This Biology book is yet another innovation in the world of Nupe history. It’s written in Nupe cum English. With the help of the Almighty, through the affirmative Indigenous Languages Learning Centre (ILLEC), (and kudos to the Nupe School Director for his valour in relating with his students who actually brought nothing and now have something.
The purpose of this noble work is to provide a preface to readers, students plus teachers/lecturers to pass an information in an easier way to their students by using their own God ordained language; Nupe. The book is well piled up. Thanks to the roles each contributor played at their field of knowledge. We are all optimistic that this book will lead to calls for more as God Almighty made it easy for us to pen-down.
The book, Nupe Biology, has the basement of a leading prayer requesting God Almighty to make it easier for the readers of the book. This book is historic, it will call for attentions because they are already waiting to answer. The genesis was hatched in the year 2022 through HAISFEST. The aim came as a result of a portion set aside by HAISFEST in a contest for Indigenous Prizes of the year 2023 edition. Otherwise, the main motive is the readers’ satisfaction. Our faith is to acknowledge or extend our gesture to the entire KinNupe and the world as a whole. And this will be a guide to the coming ones. The intended writers will make amends where necessary due to the non-existence of he who is an Island of knowledge.
