In a move aimed at boosting Nigeria’s vibrant music and entertainment sector, rising star and CEO of Jaytech Group of Companies, Amb. Christopher Ogar, popularly known as Jaymoni, has partnered with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council.
Jaymoni, who is known for his hit track “Congratulations”, paid a courtesy visit to the NUJ FCT Council Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, where he was warmly received by the Council Chairperson, Comrade Grace Ike, and Secretary, Comrade Jide Oyekunle.
The multi-talented artist and entrepreneur congratulated Comrade Ike on her historic emergence as the first female Chairperson of the NUJ FCT Council in its 41-year history. He described the visit as an opportunity to foster collaboration with the media in promoting the creative industry and supporting emerging talents across the country.
During the interaction, Jaymoni announced the release of his new single, “Where The Money Dey (WTMD)”, slated to drop on Friday, April 11, 2025, across all streaming platforms. He also revealed that his Feed The Street Programme would take place in Lagos on the same day, targeting underserved communities.
In her remarks, Comrade Grace Ike commended Jaymoni’s artistic talent, philanthropic spirit, and entrepreneurial vision. She expressed optimism about the partnership and the potential for impactful projects that could bridge the gap between the media and entertainment industries.
“I’m really happy to see such a young and talented artist like you. There’s a lot we can do together because we share a common energy. Music is life, and we, as journalists, understand the importance of platforms like yours,” Ike stated.
She praised Jaymoni’s humility and focus, urging him to continue using his platform to inspire and uplift others, while assuring him of NUJ FCT’s support in future initiatives.
With the new alliance, both parties are set to explore innovative ways of promoting Nigerian music and cultural content, further strengthening the bond between the media and the entertainment landscape.
