Jubilation as Senator Echocho Commissions Newly Renovated Bassa VIP Guest House

Bassa, Kogi East – A wave of jubilation swept through Bassa Local Government Area as Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho, representing Kogi East Senatorial District, officially commissioned the newly renovated Bassa VIP Guest House. The event marked a significant achievement in community development and historical preservation.

 

Originally built during the era of old Benue State, the guest house had fallen into disrepair over the years. However, under Senator Echocho’s leadership, the facility has been completely transformed through a comprehensive rehabilitation project. The upgraded guest house now features luxurious furnishings and modern amenities, positioning it as a prime hospitality venue in the region.

 

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Senator Echocho expressed his commitment to enhancing the quality of life for his constituents, emphasizing the guest house’s potential to contribute to local economic growth. “This project is a testament to our shared vision for progress and inclusivity,” he said.

 

Traditional rulers, dignitaries, and local residents attended the event, with HRH Pst. Joshua W. Uye, representing the Aguma of Bassa, praised Senator Echocho’s dedication. “You have once again shown that you are a leader who values equity and fairness,” Uye remarked.

 

Bassa Local Government Chairman, Theophilus Adama, also expressed his gratitude, revealed plans to concession the guest house to a private operator to ensure its sustainability and proper management.

 

The renovation of the Bassa VIP Guest House is a clear reflection of Senator Echocho’s ongoing efforts to bring meaningful development to Kogi East, signaling brighter prospects for the local community.
