In a move set to bring some relief to Nigerians, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a further reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, lowering it from N835 to N825 per litre.
This latest adjustment was coming just weeks after the 650,000 barrels-per-day refinery reduced the price from N865 to N835 per litre. According to industry insiders, the new price is aimed at enhancing value for customers while reinforcing the refinery’s leadership in the domestic market.
Analysts said the price cut, if fully passed on by marketers, could lead to lower pump prices across the country.
