Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, from N890 to N825 per litre, effective February 27, 2025.
The refinery stated that the price adjustment aimed to ease the financial burden on Nigerians, particularly as the country prepares for the upcoming Ramadan season. It also aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery efforts.
This marks the second price reduction in February 2025, following an earlier N60 slash at the beginning of the month. In December 2024, Dangote Refinery had also reduced the price by N70.50 per litre to cushion the effects of rising living costs during the yuletide season.
With the latest reduction, Nigerians can now purchase Dangote petrol at the following prices across major retail outlets:
- MRS Holdings stations:
- Lagos – N860 per litre
- South-West – N870 per litre
- North – N880 per litre
- South-South/South-East – N890 per litre
- AP (Ardova Petroleum) and Heyden stations:
- Lagos – N865 per litre
- South-West – N875 per litre
- North – N885 per litre
- South-South/South-East – N895 per litre
Dangote Refinery assured Nigerians of a steady supply of petroleum products, with sufficient reserves to meet local demand and surplus for export, boosting Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings.
The company also urged petroleum marketers to support the initiative to ensure that Nigerians benefit fully from the price reduction.
