Former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has urged tribal groups on the state to sustain the promotion of cultural beliefs and gatherings to ensure continuous development, peace , unity and progress of their areas.
The former Kogi Governor bare his mind when he played host to members and organisers of this year’s 2022 kabba day during a courtesy call to his residence at Abuja.
He maintained that such gatherings will endeavor the people of the area to rob minds on the way to move the area forward, attract both human capital development, infrastructural development to the area.
It is also meant to take advantage of such yearly gatherings to render stewardship, chart a new way forward socially, politically , and economically.
He described Kabba as a central to all decisions taking by the people of Okun speaking area, by virtue of it’s position as the headquarters of old Kabba province during the colonial era.
He then extended his supports to the forthcoming program, saying it is a great opportunity to sensitise their people on the way forward of the state created over two decades ago.
