A Kogi man identified as Ilemona Tboss has asked the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to compensate him with a sum of 50 million naira for coming up with a 2023 presidential poster of Bello which the governor distanced himself from.
Recall that some time in June, a presidential campaign poster which Ilemona designed with the write-ups “Hope 2023, Vote Yahaya Bello For President,” was trending on the Kogi social media space and was the first to create a hint on the likelihood of governor Bello vying for presidency.
The poster which the governor distanced himself from through a press statement issued on the 1st of July by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Onogwu Mohammed, was also frowned at by the deputy governor, Chief Edward Onoja, who reportedly called the designer names.
Ilemona who later tendered an apology to the governor on the 3rd of July, saying that he designed the poster out of ‘love,’ is now asking to be payed as his design seems to have tallied with the governor’s recent political moves.
This is coming after it has been observed that the young Kogi Governor is making moves to be in the 2023 presidential race. Even though, an official declaration is yet to be made by the governor, the people around him have been seen to be making indirect campaigns lately.
It was reported that Edward Onoja has hinted on Bello’s ambition in a Kogi political WhatsApp based group where he talked about their plans to go into the streets for the “next move.”
