The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Alara of Aramoko, Oba Adegoke Olu-Adeyemi, described his demise as a monumental loss to the Muslim community and the Nigerian traditional institution.
In a condolence message signed by MURIC Abuja chapter Chairman, Ustaz Yunus Salaudeen, and Public Relations Officer, Mallam Lukman Laleye Babalola, the group commiserated with the family of the late monarch, the people of Aramoko-Ekiti, the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), and the entire Muslim community in Ekiti State.
MURIC extolled the virtues of the late royal father, noting that he was not only a distinguished traditional ruler but also a devout Muslim, a promoter of Islam, and an active member of MUSWEN.
“Oba Olu-Adeyemi stood out as one of the few Muslim royal fathers in Ekiti State and consistently used his exalted throne to advance the cause of Islam and the progress of his people,” the statement read.
The group added that the monarch would be remembered for his uprightness, deep commitment to Islam, and his role in building bridges between tradition and religion.
While praying to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, MURIC also prayed for the strength and comfort of his family, the people of Aramoko, and the wider Muslim Ummah to bear the irreparable loss.
