The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has congratulated Alhaji Alidu Shutti on his appointment as the Acting Secretary of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). In a press statement released on Tuesday, January 7, 2024, MUSWEN expressed confidence in Shutti’s capability to enhance Hajj operations across Nigeria.
The statement, signed by MUSWEN President, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, highlighted Shutti’s extensive experience in Hajj operations, urged him to leverage his expertise for the benefit of the Muslim Ummah.
MUSWEN also commended NAHCON Chairman, Prof. Abdullah Usman Saleh, for his meticulous selection process, which prioritized internal competence over external recruitment.
“We appreciate the Chairman’s commitment to identifying and promoting skilled personnel from within NAHCON, ensuring seamless continuity in the commission’s operations,” the statement read.
MUSWEN expressed optimism about future collaborations with NAHCON to enhance the Hajj experience for Muslims in the South West and across Nigeria. The organization also prayed for Allah’s guidance and support for Shutti and the entire NAHCON leadership in their efforts to facilitate a more accessible and organized Hajj pilgrimage.
