As preparation for the 2025 Hajj gain momentum, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has embarked on an inspection tour to assess the readiness of key service providers responsible for Nigerian pilgrims’ welfare in Saudi Arabia.
Leading the delegation, NAHCON Chairman/CEO, Professor Abdullahi Usman Saleh, visited Mashariq Aldhahabiah, the Saudi Arabian firm contracted for Masha’ir services, where he emphasized the commission’s commitment to seamless pilgrimage arrangements.
“Following your recent visit to Nigeria, we must remain updated on new developments and potential challenges. Our priority is to ensure Nigerian pilgrims receive excellent services throughout their spiritual journey,” Professor Saleh stated.
The Chairman of Mashariq Aldhahabiah, Muhammad Amin Bin Hassan Andergiri, assured NAHCON of their full preparedness, stating, “We are committed to delivering superior services and have arranged an inspection of Masha’ir tents to demonstrate our readiness.”
NAHCON’s Commissioner for Operations, Prince Anofi’u Olanrewaju Elegusi, underscored the importance of maintaining transparency in service contracts, urging providers to prioritize top-notch sanitation facilities and ensure high standards of service delivery.
The delegation also visited Ekram Aldyf, another key service provider, where Professor Saleh reiterated NAHCON’s expectations for excellence. “The Saudi authorities’ success in managing pilgrim welfare is built on commitment to the comfort of Allah’s guests. Our presence here strengthens collaboration and ensures a smooth Hajj experience for Nigerians,” he noted.
Ekram Aldyf’s leadership reassured NAHCON of their preparedness, outlining staff allocations and presenting materials designated for pilgrims’ use at the holy sites.
NAHCON reaffirmed its unwavering dedication to safeguarding pilgrims’ welfare, promising to work closely with service providers to ensure a seamless and spiritually fulfilling 2025 Hajj.
