In a move to strengthen community-based security and enhance real-time surveillance, the Nigerian Navy has commissioned the Ikenne Security Coordination Centre (ISCC) a Special Intervention Quick Impact Project (QIP) at Ikenne Remo, Ogun State.
The state-of-the-art facility, equipped with high-resolution solar-powered cameras and a 10KVA inverter for 24-hour operation, was commissioned on Friday, 31st October 2025, by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, represented by Rear Admiral Mike Oamen (rtd).
Facilitated by Rear Admiral Abolaji Orederu (rtd), the ISCC is designed to enhance local surveillance, promote civil-military collaboration, and empower trained youths to take charge of community safety.
Dignitaries at the event included Senator Gbenga Daniel, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, AIG Subair (rtd), and prominent sons and daughters of Ikenne.
The project underscored the Navy’s ongoing commitment to grassroots security, youth empowerment, and community partnership under its nationwide Quick Impact Projects initiative.
