NCC hosts ATCON members ,strengthen industry collaboration

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Tuesday hosted members of the Association of Telecom Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) at its headquarters in Abuja, in a move aimed at reinforcing collaboration between the telecommunications regulator and key industry stakeholders.

The delegation was received by the Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NCC, Dr Aminu Maida, alongside senior management officials of the Commission.

Among those present at the meeting were NCC’s Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Abraham Oshadami, and Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, Rimini Makama.

The ATCON delegation was led by its President, Tony Emoekpere, accompanied by the Association’s Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN), Muhammed Rudman.

The courtesy visit provided an opportunity for both organisations to discuss issues affecting Nigeria’s telecommunications ecosystem, including industry growth, infrastructure development, and enhanced stakeholder engagement aimed at advancing the country’s digital economy.

The meeting underscored NCC’s continued commitment to fostering strong partnerships with industry players to ensure sustainable development, improved service delivery, and innovation across Nigeria’s communications sector.
