NCC to host First-Ever Digital Awareness and Sensitization Fora Nov 13 …. Event to drive equity, inclusion, safe access for 140m Internet users

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is set to host the inaugural Digital Awareness and Sensitization Fora, a landmark initiative aimed at strengthening digital inclusion, policy innovation, and infrastructure development for Nigeria’s rapidly evolving digital economy.

 

Announcing the event in a statement signed by Nnenna Ukoha, Head of Public Affairs, NCC said the maiden edition themed “Leaving No One Behind: Digital Assets, Equity, and Empowerment” will hold on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

 

The fora will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and key stakeholders to explore strategies for inclusive access, affordable broadband, adaptive digital literacy, and equitable participation in Nigeria’s digital transformation journey. The Commission noted that with over 140 million Internet users, the sensitization underscored its commitment to ensuring that every Nigerian benefits from a safe and empowering digital environment.

 

The event is being organized in collaboration with the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF), National Orientation Agency (NOA), National Council of Women Societies (NCWS), ATCON, FintechNGR, KOICA, Terra Industries, Association of Nigerian Inventors (ANI), Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC), Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Imose Technologies, and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), among others.

 

It will feature panel discussions and exhibitions by innovators, fintech firms, and students showcasing creative solutions that highlight Nigeria’s growing digital potential.

 

The event will be livestreamed nationwide via scf.ncc.gov.ng
