Niger State Governor, Alh. Abubakar Sani-Bello has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of New Islamic Calendar with a call on them to be focused and live a consecrated life in line with the doctrines and teachings of Islam.
The Governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace urged Muslims across the country to remain focused and ensure they live a sacred life as pilgrims here on earth.
He called on the people to work towards building a future for Nigeria,that would be hinged on tolerance, patriotism and peaceful coexistence.
Governor Sani-Bello stated “I also urge you to be patriotic, peaceful and tolerant in all your dealings and work together in peace and harmony for the betterment of our dear country.”
Governor Sani-Bello then enjoined muslims to make use of the blessings associated with the commencement of a new year to pray for the Country and its leaders, adding that “the prayers and goodwill of the people is an important ingredient to achieving the Country’s overall development”.
He further appealed to Nigerians to continue to support the current administration as it works towards improving the people’s standard of living, adding that the administration, in its own capacity is working towards ensuring a better economy and stable society driven by people-centered governance.
