The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has applauded Voke Ogueh (Gbemre) on her remarkable achievement as a recipient of the US President’s Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).
In a congratulatory message issued by the Commission’s Director of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, on behalf of the Chairman/CEO, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, NiDCOM described the award as a testament to the invaluable contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora to global development.
Dabiri-Erewa commended Voke for her dedication, passion for lifelong learning, and innovative approach to teaching, which earned her the prestigious recognition. She urged the awardee to remain steadfast in her commitment to academic excellence and leadership mentoring.
“The recognition of Voke Ogueh with the US Presidential Award is a source of pride to Nigeria and a reflection of the brilliance, hard work, and resilience of Nigerians in the diaspora. We encourage her to continue being a shining ambassador of our great nation,” Dabiri-Erewa stated.
Voke Ogueh, a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a master’s degree in Mathematics, has devoted 20 years to teaching Mathematics and Computer Science across schools in the United States.
The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching is the highest honour bestowed on Kindergarten through 12th-grade STEM educators in the United States, further highlighting Voke’s exceptional contributions to education.
NiDCOM reaffirmed its commitment to celebrating and supporting Nigerians excelling globally across various fields.
