The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has congratulated Prince Nnamdi Ekeh, Chief Executive Officer of Konga Group, on his double recognition with the Forbes Best of Africa E-Commerce Leadership Award 2025 and the Distinguished EuroKnowledge Award for Emerging Leadership in Digital Transformation.

In a congratulatory message issued in Abuja, the Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun (mnipr), quoted Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of NiDCOM, as describing Ekeh’s feat as “a proud moment for Nigeria,” noting that the honours reflected the innovation, excellence, and leadership capacity of young Nigerians spearheading Africa’s digital transformation.

Dabiri-Erewa highlighted that Ekeh’s strategic leadership since 2018, when he led the acquisition of Konga from global investors Naspers and Kinnevik and merged it with Yudala, has transformed the company into Africa’s first true omnichannel e-commerce giant.

Under his watch, Konga has grown into a diversified digital ecosystem encompassing KongaPay (fintech), Konga Logistics, Konga Health, and Konga Travel & Tours serving over four million customers and connecting more than 250,000 merchants nationwide.

The NiDCOM boss commended Ekeh’s philosophy of “building commercial scale with a social soul,” emphasized that his leadership extended beyond business success to fostering national development, empowerment, and technological inclusion.

She urged young Nigerians to draw inspiration from his journey, described it as a testament to innovation, integrity, and purpose-driven leadership.
