Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has disclosed plan by the state government to create a Seed Fund of 260 Million Naira to cater for youths empowerment in the state.
The Governorship directed the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Ahmed Matane and the Chief of Staff Mallam Ibrahim Balarabe to map out strategy to raise the fund which would be given to prospective youths willing to engage in vocational activities.
He said the loan which would be without conventional interest rate, would enable the state government to engage the teeming unemployed youths in gainful businesses.
The Governor was speaking at the Minna Airport where women and youths from the state received him on his arrival from an official visit to Lagos state.
He assured them that his administration was committed to the development of the state, cited his visit to Lagos state where he engaged international investors on how to get them to invest in agriculture in the state.
Governor Abubakar Bello however called on the youths to desist from political thuggery and other social vices that were inimical to their future.
He urged them to engage in meaningful ventures that would better their lives and also bring development to the state.
He said his administration was willing to provide favourable environment that would encourage the youths and every Nigerlite to thrive both economically and politically.
