Niger State Government has reaffirmed its continued commitment to guaranteeing peace and security of the people in the state regardless of their backgrounds.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG),Ahmed Ibrahim Matane made the disclosure in his message to mark the second anniversary of the second tenure of the present administration led by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello.
Ahmed Matane revealed that effective protection of lives and property of all citizens at all times is the fundamental constitutional responsibility of any responsible government, added that the present administration attached great importance to the security of lives and property of the citizenry.
He observed that unity, peace, and security remain vital ingredient for the progress and development of any nation, hence the need for people to live peacefully with another so as to achieve the desired goals and objectives.
The SSG stressed that Government would not relent in putting an end to security challenges that are bedeviling the State through collaboration with security agencies, traditional rulers, and relevant stakeholders.
He explained that the second anniversary of the second tenure of the present administration has been eventful, added that Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has taken steps to reposition the State and place it on the path of real sustainable development.
Ahmed Matane stated that the State should count itself lucky for having a leader that is visionary and committed to the development and welfare of the people irrespective of their religious, political, or social affiliations.
The SSG charged the people of the State to continue to support the policies and programmes of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello designed to bring progress and development to the State.
