The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, has condoled with the former Secretary to the Niger State Government and Pro-Chancellor of Abdulkadir Kure University, Minna, Professor Mohammed Kuta Yahaya, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Fatima Yawo Yahaya.
Hajiya Fatima passed away at the age of 99 after a brief illness.
In a condolence message issued in Minna, Alhaji Usman described the late matriarch as a virtuous woman who lived a life of devotion, kindness, and selfless service to humanity. He noted that her legacy of wisdom, compassion, and strong family values would continue to inspire those who knew her.
The SSG emphasized that the loss of a mother is one of life’s greatest sorrows and assured Professor Kuta Yahaya and his family of the state’s solidarity during this trying period.
According to him, Hajiya Fatima lived a fulfilled life, leaving behind children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who have contributed immensely to the development of Niger State and Nigeria at large.
Alhaji Usman prayed for Almighty Allah’s forgiveness for the deceased and for her to be granted eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus. He also prayed for strength and fortitude for the family to bear the irreparable loss.
He urged the bereaved family to find solace in the knowledge that their matriarch lived a long and impactful life, positively touching many lives.
The Niger State Government reaffirmed its support for Professor Kuta Yahaya and the entire Yahaya family during the period of mourning.
